returnDistinctValues not working with geometry parameter

hi, I tried to use returnDistinctValue=true in the following query, but it returns "Failed to execute query."

https://gismaps.vdem.virginia.gov/arcgis/rest/services/Download/Virginia_LiDAR_Inventory_Downloads/MapServer/1/query?f=pjson&where=objectid=objectid&outfields=PointCloudDownload&returnDistinctValues=true&returnGeometry=false&geometryType=esriGeometryEnvelope&geometry=-8667951.470831,4450455.580668,-8583837.448934,4518716.386986

If I don't include the geometry parameters, then it will return the distinct values. What do I do wrong in this query? Thank you
