Feature Layers and Groups Question

Hello all,

I have 100 users that are broken into 25 different groups, and one feature layer that I am filtering for each group’s webmap.         

However, because I am repetitively sharing the same feature layer within each group the users could easily open the feature layer instead of the webmap and view the entire dataset ☹.  I don’t want 25 unique versions of the feature layer in order to hide the full dataset from each group.    

I understand that I will have to produce a unique filtered webmap for each group, but is there a way I don’t also have to produce a unique feature layer for each group in order to hide the full dataset?  

If this isn’t possible in Arcgis Online is it possible in Arcgis Enterprise?

You can create hosted feature layer views for each group from the original feature layer, filtered to each group's requirements. You don't share the original feature layer with the group, just the view.
