Hello ESRI GISsters,
After a bit of a lapse, I am getting back into ArcGIS Online and using to demonstrate dangers of salmon aquiculture in the pristine fiords of southern Chile. 10+ years ago, there were at most a couple of dozen salmon fish farms, now there are 100s and 100s more in the approval process. Through legal loopholes many of these are inside indigenous, national reserves or adjacent to national parks.
I am using ArcGIS Online via both my private and SCGIS (Society of Conservation GIS) accounts. The Classic viewer seemed to allow more flexibility and now with the new viewer I am having problems. Trouble updating symbols, linking images as symbols and how to link to my SCGIS account. On the ArcGIS Online documentation, it appears simple: “On the Settings (light) toolbar, click Styles Styles.”
On the ESRI example “Wind Turbans in the US” for the new viewer I can see and manipulate in the style pane. Via my regular and SCGIS ArcGIS Online styles appears either greyed out or disappears. Also, I cannot link to icon images I had in Google docs. I tried linking to my Dropbox and Flicker account to. I was able to link to some symbols on: https://www.napsgfoundation.org/all-resources/symbology-library/ I am signed in with privileges on both as I can add and delete in the new and the classic, I can easily change symbols.
For example these links I have setup don’t work: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9w56a0vfd3c2njg/Samoneras.gif?dl=0, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1E1hcs4Y31hcTx_RIfF3bRYcR7hyc2E9k/view?usp=sharing, https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52105739699_e332264f02_o.gif
My ArcGIS Pro account also does not seem to allow me to link to my SCGIS ArcGIS Online account.
Thanks
bruce
