Collect Sensor data

Question

Is it possible to record an external NMEA sensor along with GPS coordinated in Field Maps or Collector?

I want to have the depth measurement, from a sensor that will output a NMEA sentence, stored as an attribute, as I log points at a 1 second interval. I was able to do this on my old Trimble using Terasync, but am looking to upgrade units and move to using Field Maps or Collector.

No, I have not made the upgrade yet, so I have not try to get it to work.

I am running into a similar problem/question with an external sensor. Were you able to complete this workflow using Field Maps?
