Applicants must have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to perform advanced skill level technical work including Geographic Information System (GIS) design and management, engineering design and drafting, mapping, City addressing, data and record collection and storage, survey field duties, records management, and related technical engineering tasks; consultant contract administration; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
In addition to basic duties, applicants will perform advanced skilled technical tasks including design, management, and implementation of the City’s GIS applications, Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and infrastructure and record management, and possess inherent knowledge of engineering design software and construction practices. Work at this level is characterized by the independent application of standard engineering procedures and techniques to accomplish a wide variety of work in the office and/or field.
