Coordinate System in Mexico

Hello,

I need to analyze a dataset that covers the whole country of Mexico. In Oasis Montaj (Geosoft), I chose the Mexican Datum of 1993 as the geographic coordinate system, but I also need to use a projected coordinate system (in order to do the analysis, Oasis Montaj needs to have grid coordinates) and I'm not sure which one to use?

It would be wise to connect with Geosoft support for working on Oasis Montaj.

But let's assume you have the GIS Dataset in ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro. 😉

You may choose to convert it to

Projected Coordinate System: WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere (WKID:3857)

Transformation Method: Mexican_Datum_1993_To_WGS_1984_1
