How to create a network based on a density map?

In tIn the network creation tool of cityEngine (Grow street), it's possible to automatically create a network according to an environment (In the network creation tool of cityEngine, it's possible to create a network according to an environment (Heightmap and obstaclemap). Is it possible to create a network based on a density map ?

You could use the density map as an obstacle map and iterate:

* First create an Obstacle map with a high Obstacle Threshold value 
and run Grow Streets with your high density street pattern settings.
* Next lower the Obstacle Threshold value of the Obstacle map
and run Grow Streets with your medium density street pattern settings.
* And so on...
