Exporting Raster increases size drastically

Question

When saving a georeferenced orthomosaic as a new file I am experiencing drastic increases in size compared to the original (9GB -> 40GB)

Original TIF might have some type of compression, typically LZW. 'Maintain Clipping Extent' might have also forced a smaller cell or larger raster dimension size.

Anything that is different between the original and georeferenced besides coordinate space definition?
