Allow for a date and time field on the Time tab of the Layer Properties

At ArcGIS 10 there is a new Time tab on the Layer Properties dialog. Our data has separate date and time fields. Currently there is no way to select both. The workaround is to create a new field and concatenate the two fields together.

Additionally it would be helpful to ignore the date or time. I tried enabling the Time Zone layer to give a day and night effect. But to repeat this for more than one day you must duplicate the features. It would be great to allow a feature (record) to repeat daily depending on time. Another example would be to analyze the number of calls coming to a call center by state or country for a month. But be able to look at all calls during the month based on the time of day (excluding the date).
