One or more layers failed - Display xy data

Question

I'm sorry if this topic has already been discussed before but I couldn't find specifically the problem and I'm quite new at GIS so sorry if this is an easy fix. So I�??ve added an excel data sheet with a list of coordinates that need to be plotted. I've clicked on display xy data and the points have successfully worked and plotted onto the map. Then I've tried exporting the data to create its own layer, however I keep getting this error: One or more layers failed to draw: 'Revised Network $' Events: Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'Longitude >= 1.#QNAN0 AND Latitude >= 1.#QNAN0 AND Longitude <= 1.#QNAN0 AND Latitude <= 1.#QNAN0'. 'Revised Network $' Events: An invalid SQL statement was used. [`'Revised Network $'`] I've gone through and deleted all the 'null' values and tried looking for any spaces or numbers that may be affecting the failure (which I read on other people�??s forum questions). Does anyone know why mine might be causing issues? Thanks in advance for any help, Matt.

Hi Matt, forgive me if you've already thought of this but did you remove the spaces from the name of the spreadsheet tab that you've used as the source table for your point events? I only ask because they're present in the error text as you've typed it. If that doesn't work, you could try exporting the Excel table to a DBF table through the ArcMap table of contents and plotting your points from that instead. Good luck!

Thankyou so much for your help, that worked perfectly. I hadn't actually figure that much out myself as I put the work aside and did some other stuff. But as I said I'm only quite new to the program and am still trying to learn all these little bits and pieces that ArcGIS accepts and doesnt accept. I didnt realize the spreadsheet tab could conflict with displaying the results but now I've learnt something new about it 🙂
