I am trying to smooth the grey area in the attached image which is a road and was wondering what would be the best method to do that.
I have the contour data for the area.

The best way to smooth out the surrounding area with the contours you have is to generate a DEM from the contours using "topo to raster" Geoprocessing tool.
This can be used locally in ArcGIS Pro using the DEM as an elevation source within the scene.
