The best practice to add the multiple jpg images to ArcPad,

I�??m not sure about the best practice to add the jpg images to the ArcPad.

�?� If they are added directly from the ArcPad then :
o they are added one by one but not all in one go
o sounds that they are heavy in the ArcPad

�?� if they are saved as apm in the ArcMap then this will consume again massive size on the hard drive

then what might be the best practice?

I don't believe ArcPad has a function/tool to add a significant number of orthophotos at once, even if its just 19.  With little success, I have been working on adding several hundred images along a very long rail corridor into an ArcPad project. In ArcMap, I would utilize a raster catalog.  However, raster catalogs don't work in ArcPad (see Technical article http://support.esri.com/cn/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/25934).  Here is one process used in exporting orthophotos to ArcPad (http://www.donmeltz.com/tag/arcpad/).

Exporting satellite images as .jpg includes resolution issue.

What might be the resolution that should be set for the jpg in order to preserve the same quality of the aerial photo has has 50 cm resolution?

You may need to use a different format and / or mosaic the images.

1. I have 19 images of 1.4GB

2. The format of my images is Jpeg

3. The images are already contained in mosaic but ArcPad doesn�??t read mosaic data

I think that the first step in any project is to add the satellite images to the ArcPad then one can start work!

There should be some way to add heavy images to ArcPad the same way we do in ArcGIS
