Can you get version number of ArcGIS Pro using the API?

Without resorting to searching the registry, is there a way to obtain the version number of the ArcGIS Pro being used using the API?

The version of any of the Pro assemblies or executable will tell you. Something like 

<SPAN class="" style="color: #101094; border: 0px; font-weight: inherit; font-size: 13px;">string</SPAN><SPAN class="" style="color: #303336; border: 0px; font-weight: inherit; font-size: 13px;"> version </SPAN><SPAN class="" style="color: #303336; border: 0px; font-weight: inherit; font-size: 13px;">=</SPAN><SPAN class="" style="color: #303336; border: 0px; font-weight: inherit; font-size: 13px;"> System.Reflection.Assembly.GetEntryAssembly().GetName().Version.ToString();

"GetEntryAssembly" should be ArcGISPro.exe</SPAN>
