Using Breaklines - Parcel Editor

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to use the breakline tool.  Particularly I would like to divide a segment in half or in a quarter.  What is the best way of doing this?  I noticed having the proportion the remaining distance has no affect to the midpoint in the line.  Is there a way of breaking a construction line in half automatically, or do I have to bring out the my calculator every time I want to break a line?

I apologize for the late response.  The link helps a little bit.  It will be very helpful in situations where I need to draw plats that contain known distances between points.  What I am really looking for is a convenient way to divide a section into 16 quarter sections.  In this case I will need to divide a line into equal segments.  I am aware that I can manually calculate the distances that a line needs to be.  However, having to use windows calculator is slow, and would hope that there is a more efficient workflow.

Give the segmented line tool a try, it will create a bunch of new construction lines and replace the underlying one if you are using the 'Construct from Parent' method.  If you need to create some construction lines from scratch in an empty construction this will work as well.
