When I have groups within groups I cannot view the uploaded data on the survey123.arcgis analyze page.

Thanks for your feedback.
Just want to let you know that things have been moving forward, nested repeats/groups will be supported in individual response in 2.4 release, and supported in Analyze page and also the custom report feature in 2.5 release.
I don't have anything to provide an update on at this time. We have recognized that this becomes a more severe issue as it impacts the print template capability. As a workaround, you can create a survey from the feature service that lacks groups and use that for data access/printing.
