I've tried editing the symbols in a layer from arcgis online in Arcgis pro and none of the symbols show up online. Is there a way to use the symbols from Arcgis Pro with Arcgis online?

When you are updating the symbology, are you doing this in a web map in ArcGIS Pro or to a specific layer in ArcGIS Pro? Are you re-publishing or over-writing the layer?

I'm just using Arcgis Pro to access the layer. Is that not live editing?
