how to extract attribute table from ArcGIS Pro 2.0 and paste in Excel 2010

I am having a hard time extracting an attribute table and pasting it in an excel spreadsheet. It only creates another table.

Paul is correct... you get a new spreadsheet and make sure you specify an *.xls since you are using a quite old version of excel
