Mosaic Dataset Images Disappear on Zoom

I have a mosaic dataset with GeoTiff Rasters.  Some of the rasters disappear when I zoom-in past 1:20,000.   This does not happen with the individual rasters, only when in a mosaic.  Any ideas as to why this might happen?  I have changed the image request size to incredibly large.  I have rebuilt it from scratch several times.  Each time this keeps happening.
