Cores issue with the ArcGIS Server Standard/Enterprise,

Question

We have purchased the ArcGIS Server Standard/Enterprise for windows up to 4 cores. Now, we are planning to replace our server with one of ???Up to four, ten-core Intel® Xeon® processors E7-2800, E7-4800 and E7-8800 product family???

Does the ArcGIS server still working with the new server? Do we need new license as the number of cores is more?

Yes, it will work. But you may need additional licenses, I would check with your ESRI account manager on that question.
