I'm trying to convert DEM files to 3D faces that can be used within 3Ds Max. Currently I can only export TINN based triangulated objects. Can ArcMap do this?
Do you think there are any tools outside of spatial analyst that could create this type of mesh? We've been using Global Mapper to create these meshes, but we were hoping to find something in ArcMap that could handle this type of export.
TINs are all that have a similar structure, the Spatial Analyst doesn't have capabilities to export raster cells to the mesh you show
