java.lang.NullPointerException Bearing Processor

When attempting to use the Bearing Calculator from here: GeoEvent Extension Components - Bearing Calculator | ArcGIS for Defense I get the null exception error in the subject header. The error appears when attempting to publish the geo event service.

Has anyone had success installing / using this processor?
