Is a FeatureLayer(OutofScale but Visible) will request data?

I happen to meet a question, if a FeatureLayer is OutofScale but Visible, will it still request features from the server each time you navigate the map?

Hi Yan,

I tested with the sample we have in the resource center, "Display layer view state", where the image layer is drawn with "outofScale" and in the fiddler, the request goes through for the image layer. You may try the sample at your side with the specific feature layer you are working on.
