AGOL resetting the Find Locations setting on every single save

Question

I am finding that every single time I save a map my Find Locations settings reset.  Even just zooming the map then save, it resets.  This is becoming a management nightmare.

Is this a bug?  Is there a way around it?

Find Locations is resetting for me regularly and I cannot figure out why.  Interestingly, search continues to work in Map Viewer but does not work in ArcGIS Field Maps.  I have to re-configure the Find Location settings in the map settings page to make search by layer work again in ArcGIS Field Maps.

After testing it had not been every single save.  But it does happen a lot.  Anyone else know why?
