Control the search radius of the identify pop-up widget

Is it possible to control the radius searched when the identify widget is invoked? The out of the box distance is returning too many features due to the close proximity of features in my dataset, even when zoomed in tight.

Sure in the in the Identify widgets configuration UI you can set the "Identify Tolerance", by default it is set to 5 pixels.
