When I am out in the Field it would be usfull to select more than one feature at a time and assign their attributes at once.
Is this possible? Or will this be possible in the future?

That is not supported in current version of Collector. I suggest you put your idea at Esri Arcgis Ideas | Ideas Submission Portal .
