I am aiming to get the web app developer running on my PC and have managed to get everything set up, but am stuck on providing the web app ID. I have followed the intructions however I am not getting any opportunity, using AGOL, to get any Register dialog box (https://www.esri.com/about/newsroom/arcwatch/configure-web-appbuilder-for-arcgis-developer-edition/?rmedium=esri_com_redirects01&rsource=/esri-news/arcwatch/0117/configure-web-appbuilder-for-arcgis-developer-edition-to-work-with-your-arcgis). I can get the app ID from the URL, but when entered into the setup, it is not working properly i.e. the URL directs to an error page. I read another article mentioning a Portal workaround, but cannot find the same for the Organizational account.
Please can someone assist.
Regards,
Nigel
That's brilliant! thanks
Worked for me! Thanks Chris Blinn!
Hi Chris
Thanks. It opened the Configuration Parameters, but there was nothing in it and the search for _registrationContainer was only within a function and a line
g);e.default.showHide(this._registrationContainer,g);e.default.showHide(this._notRegisteredContainer,!this.item.isRegisteredApp);e.default.showHide(this._registeredContainer,this.item.isRegisteredApp);f.resolve();return f};l.prototype.performActions=function(){var a=new z.default;"true"===this.page._queryStringParams.showAppUsage&&this._showAppUsageClick();a.resolve();return a};l.prototype._formatCodeAttachment=function(a){return a?a.title||a.name:""};l.prototype._initCodeAttachment=function(){this._toggleCodeAttachment();
and not contained within a div class anywhere else.
I am using Chrome, if that helps.
Cheers.

Not sure - just for clarification the actual name is _registrationContainer (I forgot the underscore).
Thanks for your response. I don't seem to have the same registrationcontainer div as per your image. The only comparable item I could locate was the optionsContainer, which made the Configuration parameters box display, but nothing was inside.
I know it's been a few months, but wanted to provide my workaround.
Load the item details page, and click Settings. Then click F12 to open the developer tools. There is a div called registrationContainer. Find it and update the class to class="clearfix" (removing hide).
And voila, your registration info appears. Not sure why it occurs - it is intermittent at best. I am an admin in my org and it happens to me occasionally.
Hi Robert
Steps 3 then 4.
On the item details page, do the following:
For an ArcGIS Online organizational or an ArcGIS for Developers account, click the Settings tab. Scroll down to the App Registration section and click Register .
For Portal for ArcGIS , click Register in the App Registration section.
I do not have an App Registration option.
Thanks.
Nigel,
Can you give me the step number in that document that you are stuck at (don't understand)?
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have reviewed that site, but I simply don't get the 'Register' option.
Have you looked at the detailed steps in the documentation on this subject?
