Embedding ArcMap File In Website

I created a map using ArcMap 10.5.1 and I am attempting to embed it in a website. Is it possible to directly embed the map in a website? If not, is there a way to convert the map into a web map first and then embed the web map? Thanks.

Can you publish the map to ArcGIS Online?

I uploaded it as a map package ("Lake Erie Coastal Structures").
