ArcMap Crashers With Publisher Extension

Question

Hello all,

I'm having an issue with the Publisher extension.  I'm using the evaluation of the Publisher for possible purchase and when I attempt to save ANY document (PMF or not), ArcMap crashes.  I was capable of creating just one PMF file and package before the crashes started.  Since then, I have Repaired, Reinstalled, Removed, Deleted, Changed file storage locations, with no success in rectifying the issue.  The only solution that I've been able to gain so far is just not having the extension installed on my computer.  What's really odd about it is that it allowed me to create one full PMF package before all this started happening.  That PMF file works fine and even opens on the ArcReader installed on my machine as well as others. I'm dumbfounded by this.  Any help?  I have the error files, but since I can't read them, they do me no good.

Some stats:  Version 9.3.1 with SP2 installed.

* Rename your ESRI folder within the registry
- Navigate to Start > Run, type regedit and click OK. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software > right-click on Esri and select rename to ESRI_old. Close the Registry Editor.

What happens if you walk through following items, please let us know if they do not resolve your current issue. Gracias!

* Have a second user log into your computer with their credentials, they do not need to work within ArcMap.
-Then walk through your same work flow of creating a PMF and Package

* Rename your ESRI folder within the registry
- Navigate to Start > Run, type regedit and click OK. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER> Software > right-click on Esri and select rename to ESRI_old. Close the Registry Editor.

Thanks for the reply.  We currently don't use different login credential for our computers (scary, eh?).  We are currently limited to having one user ID (aside from Admin) per machine for some reason and, as such, I can't have anyone try the first portion.  Would it work just as well trying the REGEDIT without changing ID?
