I have launched my application with http://[yourmachinename]:[port]/webappbuilder. But this wouldn't work outside the network. How do we get the application working outside the network?

Web AppBuilder is for configuring/building a Web App once you have it configured the way you want it you click the ... button in the main WAB application table list and choose download. This will create an appName.zip file for you to move to your production webserver and unzip its contents and setup your webserver the same way you would any other website app.
