Layer Datasource Feature Class Names in Service?

Is there a way to get each Layer->Data Source->Feature Class Name in a service as the information returned via REST/SOAP does not contain this?

Does the actual MXD need to be queried for this information and if so are any helpful links perhaps in .NET?

Don't look like anyone cares, but I used ArcPye to list all the Feature Classes to all my Services. Needed this information for MetaData.
