So does anyone know how to use dynamic text date and make it where it displays the previous year? So, this is what you use for current year <dyn type="date" format="yyyy"/> ABILENE PERMANENT STATION MAP

As far as I know, it's not possible using the standard dynamic text options. There's the option of using python to get this within your Map Document, but I think whether this is a good option depends on your use case. Is this a change you'd like to make on a single MXD or many MXDs?
