ArcGIS crashes everytime i try to reclassify

for some reason ArcGIS always displays an error message every time i go to reclassify. maybe one out of every 20 times it will go through and work but it'll usually crash soon after. i've tried on several different computers and they all still crash. has anyone else encountered this problem and has a quick fix?

Versions are important here. Are you updated to the latest available service pack?

For example NIM 079095 is was fixed in 10.1 SP1
