External extension or tool to create better looking legends?

Question

Is there an alternative to using illustrator to create good looking legends with in ArcGIS Desktop?

An extension or tool that can produce something similar to this:

[ATTACH=CONFIG]31322[/ATTACH]

Any ideas or just keep using Adobe Illustrator?

Looking at it again.

Use data driven pages and fill in the fields from Data Driven pages instead.  and use a referenced data layer to show the outline of SLC

you can position the DD pages dynamics where you want and colored how you want.

Keep using AI or do it in Word.

You could create a database in Access with all the info and then build a report based on the data and designed as you wish.  then export each page as an image to stick into your maps.Is there an alternative to using illustrator to create good looking legends with in ArcGIS Desktop?
