Points to Lines With Common Field

I have 2 point feature classes with a common attriubte.

I'd like to create straight-line features between the points in FC A and the points in FC B based on the common attribute.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You could...

join the two files on the common id field, copy/export to a new file
add the fromX, fromY and toX and toY fields to your table (calculate their values as appropriate IF you don't already have them
use... XY To Line—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop
