Dynamic text in symbol

Question

Hi,

I want to symbol a point feature class using Circle symbol and a dynamic text with in the symbol. The text should ideally represent an unique id of each feature in the point feature class.

For instance, if there are 30 point features, each feature should be represented by a Circle symbol and its unique id respectively with in the symbol.

In addition to Karsten's comment, you can use the label as a symbol.  An example of this is how you might label an interstate or other highway with a shield.

Hi,

you could label your symbol with the value of the unique ID. Place label on top of the point.
