Rotating Symbols

Question

Hi, I have some point symbols that I rotate because the data view has a specific rotation.  But when I rotate the symbols, they also rotate in the legend.  Is there a way to rotate the symbols on the map, but have a zero rotation in the legend?

I realize this is a pretty old post (2014!) but I found my way here for this issue and others probably will as well. In ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1 there is a setting in the Symbol tab of Symbology Properties where you can set the Angle alignment to be 'display' or 'map'. Set it to display on rotated map layouts.

You can also adjust a setting on the Legend to not change when symbols change.

However, the previous recommendation rotate based on attribute is the better option.  That is what I use as well. That worked, thanks.
