Editor Tracking returns anonymous

Question

I am running a website with the Flex editor widget ver. 3.6 on ARCGIS 10.2.  
We have an SQL server 2008r2 with IIS-7 Basic Authentication.

When I enable editor tracking, the user column lists "Esri_anonymous".
It has been suggested there is a configuration issue between ARCGIS for Server and 
the Web Adapter.  What do I need to do to correct this?

I am still experiencing this same issue and cannot determine what is causing it.  The editor tracking picks up the date/time, but still returns "Esri Anonymous" in the creator or editor field. We have Basic Authentication enabled in IIS.

Does anyone have a clue what configuration needs to change to rectify this?

I am having the same issue?  Has there been a resolve for this?
