Is it possible to set a local GeoTIFF as a 3D scene elevation source?

I want to set a local GeoTIFF file (about 10K x 10K pixels) as 3D scene elevation source.

Is it possible? If yes, does ArcGIS support such big surfaces?

P.S. The GeoTIFF I want to load: http://koenigstuhl.geog.uni-heidelberg.de/~mover/srtm_germany_dsm.zip
