Chris, Did you find a way to do this? There's a way to share web styles but it looks like it only applies to web scenes (3d) and not web maps. Share a web style—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop
Hey Roger. No, I did not find a way to do it. I just moved on and stuck
with the provided symbols.

That's too bad. It would be really handy to be able to create a custom symbol palette for web-only users. I submitted it to the ideas site so you can go vote for it here: https://community.esri.com/ideas/15421
