survey user confusion

It is impossible for user to tell which answers they've selected.  The checkbox disappears.

In the screenshot, the first three items in the question have been selected.  I think what I want is to have the ability to format the selection boxes that precede each question.  The boxes are the same for all the questions.   Thank you very much!  https://arcg.is/1GWLvn1

Thank you for the feedback. Could you provide a bit more information about the issue?

It would also be helpful:

* a screenshot or screen recording showing the behavior
* the question type being used (for example, multiple choice, single choice, etc.)
* using Survey123 Web or the mobile app?

Any additional details or screenshots would help us better understand and investigate the issue.
