I have been requested to create a map for publication that symbolizes land as light gray and water as white. Is there a basemap that does this or is there a way to modify the light gray basemap? Thanks in advance!

You could check out the Vector Tile Style Editor, which lets you save a copy of a Living Atlas basemap and adjust colors, fonts, etc.
