Field Maps Tasks Action Buttons Not Showing Up in App

Hello,

I am currently working on a tasks enabled layer in field maps. When I log into the field maps application, I cannot see the action buttons, even if i click on a specific task point. Only a pop-up appears with the the form that was created, along with the ability to fill out and create a new point. I tried using the default esri layer and made very little changes, (assigning assignees), and still cant get the tasks button to show up on the app. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm a a bit of a loss on what to do. I have checked the visibility of the buttons, and the arcade seems to look good.

When you open the Tasks map, do you see a to-do list overlaying the bottom part of the map? It may show 0 tasks, but it should still show if the map is recognized as a Tasks map.

Can you also confirm that you are using the latest version of Field Maps (25.3.1)?

When you enabled tasks on your layer, did you use an existing layer or create a new layer? Do the features in your layer have attribute values that match the layouts? That is, did you add task statuses and assignees to the task fields for the features?

When you click on a point it sounds like you are seeing what you should be.

Tasks will show up based on the filter you set. Can you check your configuration here:

If it's set to show a task for Sam when Sam is logged in but you're trying to see it as Tom - you won't.

Going to assume you've done all of these:

Enabled tasks in field maps designer (should see the icon in the layer list and Tasks configuration)
Opened the map in a version of Field Maps that supports tasks, noting that updating to 'latest' in your app/play store is NOT enough as it may not update if your iOS version is not up to date etc

For your layouts, the buttons will only appear if the Task feature meets the criteria set in the visible clause here:

However there seems to be an issue where if you don't have a visibility expression the layout will never show. e.g. we have one layout and no expression/clause on the 'Visible' in the layout properties. We want to have one layout for all tasks on this map. The task buttons don't show when interacting with features. We need to add an expression that will always return true. @ChrisDunn1 this seems like a bug or non-intuitive interaction.

It may be that there are other circumstances with the layout expressions that are causing issues for @Molly_Ingenmey e.g. if you have two layouts with overlapping conditional visibility, they might not like it.

Thank your for the help, I realized that my phone was too old and even though I was using version 25.1.0 of field maps, so it couldn't show the tasks. I asked one of my other coworkers in another office to check and they got it working. Good to know since we have some older devices that are used in the field.
