I created a feature class using ArcPro 3.6.1 with a raster field for storing images. After publishing the feature class to AGOL, the raster field is no longer in the table. Are raster fields not supported in hosted feature layers?
Hi @JonathanDelura,
Oh I see. Yes, attachments are supported in ArcGIS Online. You may need to toggle to enable attachments on the layer in the item details page.
That's right, hosted feature layers in ArcGIS Online are usually for vector data (points, lines, polygons) with attribute fields, not raster data.
If you want to use raster data in ArcGIS Online, you can publish a raster as a hosted imagery layer or hosted tile layer instead.
The purpose of the feature service is so that community members can add pictures of places (points) of interest in their community. If AGOL doesn't support raster fields, would my best option be to add the pictures as attachments?
