Hi there,
As per this question: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-questions/why-does-the-quot-generate-floor-plans-from-point/m-p/1678899#M1232 The "Generate floor plans from point clouds" tool should support E57 files. These are often the default point cloud format that is captured by indoors scanners, and having to convert to LAS is an additional conversion step that takes time, adds complexity and requires additional storage space.
In addition, please see this (at this time I cannot create an Idea in ArcGIS Pro, it keeps hanging, so my idea text is below) ArcGIS Pro idea that LAS datasets should support additional file format files as inputs, so point cloud processing tools will be more flexible.
Thanks,
Marc

ArcGIS Pro Idea:
More file formats for las datasets
Currently LAS datasets can support .las, .zlas and .laz. This is only a subset of available point cloud file formats. Another common format is E57 which is often generated from indoors scanners. LAS datasets should support additional point cloud formats, making them a more flexible container for feeding 3D point cloud data in tools that process this.
