Print the highlighted search result

In Experience Builder, when you use the Map search tool to run an address search and you select a result, the result is highlighted:

But when you use the print widget to create a pdf, the highlight isn't on the print, so you can't tell which result is the one you selected:

Personally, I think that is a bug - what use is printing the search results if you don't highlight the selected result? But I've been told it's expected behaviour and to log it as an Idea, so here we are.

Please ESRI, add the highlight to the print widget! Thank you 🙂

@SarahNoakes1 My print out is a layer source search. We don't use locators on our public map. Good to know the locators don't keep the highlight while printing.

Hi @JudithWammack,

Have you configured a layer as the search source? We only have locators as search sources, and it's the results from locators that don't retain the highlight in the printout.

@SarahNoakes1 I was able to use the print widget while the search widget had something selected. Are you using the ESRI print service or did you make your own templates for prints?
