ArcGIS Poral 11.4 map app over :7443 redirecting arcgis/sharing to web adaptor (portal)

My map app when launched from the main page from the portal machine:7443/ fails and the reason is the calls to the arcgis/sharing/rest calls are going to the web adaptor name, example: https://localmachineName:7443/portal/sharing/rest/oauth2/platformSelf and not
https://localmachineName:7443/arcgis/sharing/rest/oauth2/platformSelf

Everything else works, and when I try it over the WebAdaptor (https://FQDN/WA/) is works using the wa.

Using the Map App and Classic Map App automatically uses FQDN.
