ArcGIS Moniotr Dev / Prod architechture

We are preparing to set up ArcGIS Monitor 2024.1 or the latest version when we begin. We will be monitoring nearly two dozen servers.

Previously we had ArcGIS Monitor 10.8 set up in a Dev / Prod configuration where the Dev version was primarily intended to test upgrades and configuration changes before applything them to the Prod version. They essentially monitiored all the same servers and services. In that version, there was no Monitor Agent installed on the machines being monitored.

Now that a Monitor Agent is required on each server to be monitored, what is the recommendation for a Dev / Prod configuration?

Can the Monitor Agent connect to two different ArcGIS Monitor hosts?
Can two instances of the Monitor Agent be installed on each server to be monitored?
Is a Dev version of Monitor even recommended?

Q1) Can the Monitor Agent connect to two different ArcGIS Monitor hosts?
A1) ArcGIS Monitor (AM) Agents are typically installed on the host where they will be collecting data from. The exception would be the AM Agent installed on the same machine as ArcGIS Monitor (AM) Server. It could be used when registering a database or geodatabase with AM Server.

Q2) Can two instances of the Monitor Agent be installed on each server to be monitored?
A2) At this time, installing 2x instances of AM Agent on the same host machine to report data back to 2x different instances of AM Server is not supported.

Q3) Is a Dev version of Monitor even recommended?
A3) This really depends on your business use case and needs.

I think you answered the questions I couldn't. An AM Agent can't send data to two different ArcGIS Monitor servers, and two AM Agents can't ben installed on a server to send data to two different ArcGIS Monitor servers. Thank you.

I think you answered your own question. If there's value using ArcGIS Monitor to see the metrics on behaviors of the Dev environment, then go for it. I don't think I have anything to add.
