Hi all,
I’m using ArcGIS Pro 3.1.2 for a project where I need to geocode a large list of addresses. I’ve been using the Esri World Geocoding Service for this task, but the results are not as accurate as I hoped, especially for rural addresses and some business locations.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- I’ve imported a list of addresses and attempted to geocode them using the World Geocoding Service.
- For some addresses, the matching is correct, but others return with low confidence or no match.
- I’ve also checked the address format, and it seems to be in the correct structure (street address, city, state, and postal code).
My questions are:
- How can I improve the accuracy of address matching when using the Esri World Geocoding Service in ArcGIS Pro?
- Are there any settings or adjustments I can make in ArcGIS Pro to better handle rural or less common addresses?
- Is it possible to use a custom geocoding service or dataset to enhance matching accuracy, and if so, how would I set that up?
- Would adding more detailed address points or reference data improve geocoding results?
I’m looking for any tips or best practices for improving geocoding accuracy, especially for hard-to-match addresses. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
