parcel boundary lines polygon

Question

Does ESRI provide any kind of data when it comes to the property boundary lines of a given parcel?

That would be a polygon that estimates the boundary of a property.

Some basemaps seem to draw these boundary lines around properties in the USA. but is there a separate source of data that would offer the exact polygon node coordinates?

as a second question: does ESRI provide property information such as the ownership or year of build etc?

Esri provides parcels from one of our partners Regrid though the living atlas premium content.

However like @Jennifer_Parmeley indicated the majority of this data is obtained from county assessor's offices. Each county is different so if the living atlas parcels don't fit your needs check with the local county if the project area is small.  Oftentimes trying to combine parcels from different counties into a single dataset becomes tiresome due to schema differences.  That's when the resellers like Regrid (and lot's of others) come into play, they consolidate all the data into a common schema.

Generally this data comes from the county (sometimes the state) in the US. There is typically a fee for this data and in my experience you'll get a snapshot of ownership - it's an export and not a web service. I've seen one celebrated post in the last week on LinkedIn about someone getting parcels for a county free. My guess is that ESRI probably can't provide it until it is all free. I could be wrong and maybe someone will provide a link. 🙂

Ownership gets harder. Some folks want their names removed from the data and some folks need it removed for protection. The state I live in removes all ownership because they don't have a way to keep up with all the requests made to counties (data owners).
Year of build will depend on who collected the data and how it was handled during aggregation. I've looked at this here for a project and about 1/2 the parcels have build year. Its a rural state so likely that's not too far off, but it is a lot of data to look through.

To get the most accurate data, with the most attributes, go to the source - but there will likely be a fee.
