Can't create circles when editing in Pro

I think I've found a bug, but it's so obvious I can't be only person experiencing it.  I have a WGS84 polygon layer stored in ArcGIS Online.  When I add it to a web mercator map(3857) in ArcPro and try to create a new circular feature, the features initially show as circles then change to what looks like two circles merged together when the map is refreshed.  No, it's not the geographic oval shape, my projection is set correctly.  If I set my projection to WGS84, the data appears as circles, but they should look like ovals.  If I look at the data in ArcGIS Online on a web mercator map it appears as geographic ovals, but should appear as circles.  It's like it's handling the projections changes in reverse.  And if I upload the same data as 3857 it all works fine.

Anyone else have this issue and is there a fix other than storing data in 3857?

Thanks for the response @ChrisUnderwood, and sorry it took so long for me to get back to this.  The data stored in ArcGIS Online is 4326.  The ArcPro map is set to 3857.  If data is stored as 3857 it works correctly.

I'm using ArcPro 3.3.1 and think it might be a version issue.  A coworker on a newer version doesn't have the same issue.  However, the same coworker said they experienced the same issue about a year ago and eventually the problem "fixed" itself.

The attached screenshots shows what the data looks like for me.  These were all created using the circle editing tool in ArcPro.

Hello @KyleSmith2 , I'm not sure I'm understanding your full workflow, but you can check the SRID of your ArcGIS Online layer from View Details > scroll down to URL section > press View > scroll to Extent section. Your Spatial Reference is shown there, probably (3857).

And in your Map in Pro you can select Properties > Coordinate Systems > Current XY > press Details. In the WKID you should check for the same reference 3857.

And in Pro I can create a new object using the New Feature > Circle tool, which creates a perfect circle for me, both when viewed in Pro and back in ArcGIS Online.
